Autumn Term Information

Autumn Term 1

The focus will be on settling into school life and exploring what happens at school for the first half term, alongside our curriculum ‘Project of Me’ and ‘My Community’.  In this we will explore the new rules and routines of school and encourage the children to make new friends and feel confident in their class.  We will explore about being helpful, kind and thoughtful at home and at school and discuss how the children are unique and special, the importance of friendship and how people in their family, school and local community are important and can help them. 

Autumn Term 2

After half term, our curriculum will be focused around ‘Once Upon a Time’.  Within this, the children will develop a love of stories and reading. It encourages children to learn, retell and act out familiar and traditional tales including Cinderella, The Three Little Pigs and Goldilocks to name a few. 

We will also enjoy lots of christmas craft and activities alongside preparing for our Nativity performance.
