Mindfulness at St. George's Church

This week, Sapling class visited our local church in Hinton St. George to make some observations. Children took photographs and made sketches of the parts of the church that drew their attention the most. We really appreciated this peaceful time to appreciate the quiet beauty of the church. It was an added bonus that the church was very cooling at the end of a hot, summer's day!

We are so looking forward to our whole-school trip to Wells Cathedral soon. Children anticipate that many of the things we saw in our local church may be much larger at the cathedral. They will be looking out for this difference in scale and we will be sure to take some more photographs to document our findings!
